Professed Christians all over the world think Christmas to be the best of Christian holidays. Without asking any questions, multitudes have assumed that Christmas observance is desirable and God ordained. Through the perversion of Christianity, mostly through the Roman Catholic Church, many Christians have come to assume that Jesus was born on December 25th and that the Bible sets this day aside to be observed by Christians.

Christians must not act in ignorance or lack of scriptural knowledge. Even worse, a nation that lays claim to Christianity such as the United States must not act in ignorance or that claim is clearly false. Draw your own conclusions.

The word Christmas means 'mass of Christ'. It came to society as a Roman Catholic mass. Where did the Romans Catholics get the doctrine from? The winter solstice focused heathen celebration on the day of December 25th, the birthday of the sun god! Celebration of this date was an ancient rite of Baal, which the Bible condemns completely.

Christmas was not kept by original Christians in the first-century and therefore is not a practice of the true church. Instead, Christmas is one of the fables Paul mentioned in 2 Timothy 4:4. The apostle Paul stated that this observance would deceive the people of the world and distract them into following a weak and powerless gospel other than the Gospel of Christ.

Jesus was not born on December 25th, nor in the winter season. Scripture indicates that there were shepherds in the fields keeping watch over their flocks by night on the night of His birth. (Luke 2:8) In Israel and Palestine by October 15th, the shepherds always brought their flocks from the mountains and fields, corralling them for protection from the cold and rain of the season. (Song of Solomon 2:11; Ezra 10:9,13) Winter in that land is a rainy season with shepherds remaining indoors during this time. The Jews of those days customarily sent out their sheep about the time of the Passover in early spring and brought them home at the end of the first rain of the winter season. If God had wanted man to be caught up in babe worship at Christmas, He would have included directions in His Word and would not have kept the date of his birth hidden.

Among the ancients of false worship, mistletoe was used at the Festival of the Winter Solstice because it was considered to have miraculous healing power. The pagan custom of kissing under the mistletoe took place early in the night of revelry and drunkenness in celebration of the death of the old sun and the birth of the new sun. Holly berries were also considered to be sacred to the sun god.

The Yule Log is in truth the sun log. Yule means wheel, a pagan symbol of the sun. Even so, professed Christians speak of the sacred Yuletide season. Even the lighting of fires and candles as a Christian ceremony is a continuation of the pagan custom encouraging the waning sun god as he reached the lowest place in the skies.

The modern exchange of gifts between friends is a custom of the Saturnalia Festival of the Romans adopted after the time of Constantine through the Roman Catholic Church. The mass exchange of gifts during the Christmas season does not hold the Truth of Christianity.

The legendary Nimrod, grandson of Ham and decendant of Noah, was the key man for the Babylonish system which has continued to grip the world. Babylon was a system of organized competition based on a profit-making economic system. Like economic builders of today, Nimrod built the tower of Babel, ancient Nineveh and other cities.

Of interest is that Nimrod married his mother Semiramis. After Nimrod's early death, his mother-wife propagated the doctrine of the survival of Nimrod as a spirit being. She claimed a full grown evergreen tree sprang overnight from a dead tree stump, symbolizing the springing forth into new life of the dead Nimrod. On each anniversary of his birth, she claimed Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts on it. December 25th was the observed birthday of Nimrod.

The Babylonians gradually came to regard Semiramis as the 'Queen of Heaven' and Nimrod, under various names, became the 'Divine Son of Heaven'. After generations of this idolatrous worship, Nimrod was worshiped as the Messiah, the Son of Baal, and the Sun God. In this Babylonian system of mother and child continually reborn, they became the chief objects of worship. This worship of mother and child spread throughout the world with names that vary in different languages and nations. In Egypt, they were 'Isis and Osiris' and in Rome, 'Fortuna and Jupiter'.

After the time of Constantine, the pagans of the Roman world accepted the new popularized Christianity through the Roman Catholic Church, carrying pagan customs and beliefs along with them under Christian sounding names. The Madonna and child concept became very popular, especially at Christmas time. Today, we live in a world descended from the Babylonians and Romans with a sense of reverence for falsehood and Satanic counterfeits. God's people should "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression..." (Isaiah 58:1) While Christmas seems to be wholesome, godly fun and family, the reality of Christmas is bound up in organized satanic apostasy that grips the whole world. In the wilderness of Egypt, it has been believed for centuries that the son of Isis, Queen of Heaven, was born on December 25th. The reality is that paganism celebrated this famous birthday many centuries before Christ came on the scene. First-century Christians did not follow these pagan practices, yet the most of the world today, both Christian and otherwise do!

Mary was said to be highly blessed of God (Luke 1:28-48), but scripture does not deify her, set her up for worship or establish her divinity. The widespread worship of Mary as the mother of God and the doctrine of immaculate conception is a counterfeit continuation of ancient Babylonian idolatry. This satanic deception take the world's eyes from the victorious Jesus Christ, risen and seated at God's right hand. The Christ Messiah is no longer a child in a manger or a dead savior in a tomb.

Society and religion has handed down the ancient, idolatrous and pagan mystery religion through the Roman Catholic Church, and into the Protestant denominations and the people in general. The Reformation never challenged many false doctrines employed by the Catholic Church over generations.

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? ... And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh." Matthew 2:1-11

These wise men presented only Jesus with gifts rather than friends or each other. They came to honor their King by their own understanding as astrologers of that age.

Both Christmas and Easter are commercialized pagan festivals of Babylonish and Romish order. The Apostle Paul indicated that Christians were not to go on observing even the scriptural Old Testament holidays, but instead live in the accurate knowledge of Christ. (Galatians 4:9-11)

People are caught up in the materialism of today's world, thoroughly deceived by Satan, his demonic order and the spirit of the world through the worship of false gods. This is because of a lack of accurate knowledge that Bible prophets outlined. Much of the breakdown in the world today and in professed Christianity has been brought about through the worship of other gods and a 'lifestyle of mammon', following another concept of Jesus and proclaiming a gospel that is not found in the Bible.
